How to remove or reset Acer laptop bios password
Simple way to remove or reset Acer laptop bios password hassle free and working 100%.
Hi again, it has been a while but im back and hopefully somebody will find here what they were looking for.
So how often you will set bios password and forget it and after while you are trying to access your laptops bios and don't remember password... well... that never happened to me and don't believe there's to many people like that around:). Its actually funny when you read.. that my kids managed to install bios password and now i cant access laptop... maybe!!! NOOOT!!!
Most of my laptops are coming from offices so they will have bios passwords installed by the system admins so users could not mess up some important settings so no Mickey Mouse PS.. but whatever your reasons are to unlock Acer bios password here is very simple tutorial how to do it and if for some reason it doesn't work then don't blame me since it is free service and no warranty given :)
So how to remove or reset Acer laptop bios password:
Ok let start - turn on your Acer laptop and immediately start pressing F2 button on your keyboard, F2 button is used to access bios so now you should see "Enter Current Password" - enter wrong password 3 times and you should see "Enter Unlock Password", now press enter and you should see your Unlock Key... take a note of that key and go to BiOSBUG.com, enter that key into search field and press "Send Request" button and few seconds later you should get your Acer bios unlock key.
Now take a note of that key and go back to your laptop and enter that into "Enter Unlock Password" box and if successful you should be in bios, now in bios go to security tab and press enter on Set Supervisor Password and little box with 3 password fields should pop up, enter your unlock key from BiOSBUG.com into first field which is current password field and leave new password field and confirm field blank just hit enter 2 times. Now navigate Exit tab and press on Exit Saving Changes and that's it.. your laptop should have no bios password anymore and you should be able to boot to Windows OS or whatever you have installed.

Carefully followed the taught procedure trying to unlock the bios password from an Acer E1-470P and it doesn't work. When turning on and pressing F2, appears below the space to enter the password, an alphanumeric Unlock Key Hint Numbers appears. I type 3 wrong passwords and the message Error - System Locked with another different alphanumeric code below. The notebook freezes and I have to turn it off. When reconnecting and pressing F2 again, I insert the numerical code shown by BiosBug and it does not unlock. Should I fill in the first System Locked code on the website in the Send Request field or the second one that has the word Error before the phrase System Locked??

Supervisor password is grey - as with cyber21's October 10 post, I have used the tool, but now Supervisor password (and most other settings) is greyed out. Is there a way to reset this password? Is there a default? This is an Acer ES1-111M-C7DE
