Dell Inspiron 13 5378 RAM Upgrade
What is maximum amount of RAM you can install on Dell Inspiron 13 5378/5379 and what type of memory it uses!
ToxicNerd Dell Inspiron 13 5378 was released in year 2017 and depending of configuration it came either 4GB or 8GB DDR4 RAM. In year 2023 4GB is definitely not enough to run Windows 10 or Windows 11. It’s not only about Windows but also multitasking or trying to run programs like MS OFFICE etc.
At very least 8GB is recommended minimum amount of RAM these days, personally would go with 16GB to be sure that no upgrade needed in coming years. Of course it comes down to price as well, obviously more memory equals more money!
Good news is that you are able to upgrade Dell Inspiron RAM to 32GB without any issues, follow tutorial below.
How to open Dell Inspiron 13 5378
To open Dell laptop you need standard phillips screwdriver.
Remove all the screws on the back panel, see image below: screws are marked with red circles.
Once screws are removed you are ready to lift back panel, for that you need something sharp and preferably made out of plastic as there is possibility of damaging laptop.

As you see from the picture below this Dell Inspiron 13 5378 has 2 x DDR4 RAM slots and at the moment there’s 16GB in total installed.
